The Line Cook prepares delicious meals assigned to his/her line according to store recipes and standards and cooks dishes that delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. He/she accurately and efficiently cooks meat, fish, vegetables, soups and other food products including preparation, portioning, plating and garnishing of cooked items. He/she also prepares appropriate garnishes for all menu item plates.

Operational Excellence
* Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
* Prepares food that is of consistently high quality and makes sure that portions are consistently controlled. Completes food tickets in a timely manner
- Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
- Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes according to menu
- Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on store recipes
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
- Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
* Assists other cooks during the food assembly process
* Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
* Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at the station to assure a smooth service period
* Cleans food preparation areas according to health and safety standards
- Cleans all kitchen equipment used immediately following its use
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, fryers, pasta cookers, convection ovens and chiller equipment
- Cleans up after business hours
